Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 at an Olympic event. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. Her first competition was in The National Junior Championships in which she finished 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she took home 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and '74 she was the overall junior champion. In her first international competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning four gold and one silver medal. She was the first female ever to perform a backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. As a young girl, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating shows.
