Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh has been collaborating on projects with award-winning directors, actors and producers throughout her career. Ashford is scheduled to be as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. In the form of it is a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platform. Ashford returns to Broadway on March 20, 2023 where he will star alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The group behind Hamilton director Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the leading the show. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment based on the nation's crisis, which swept into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment trial in more than 100 years. She was also the lead in two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, as well as the role of Lauren In Kinky Boots. For this role, she earned an Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and now divides her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
