Jennifer Garner was born on the 17th of April, 1972 at Houston, Texas but was born to be raised in Charleston, West Virginia. William John Garner is her father. He was one of the chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at an area college. Following in the footsteps of her father she earned an engineering degree in chemical science. To pursue her acting dream and pursue her acting career, she decided to relocate in New York and try her acting career in the world of Hollywood. In addition to appearing on Broadway shows, she was employed as a waitress. Her cameo was in the series "Felicity." (It is on this show when she met her first husband, Scott Foley.) They continued to work with each other on various projects when Winick's death in the year 2011. in 2009 Garner was named an artist ambassador by Save the Children U.S.A. This role involves promoting literacy and nutrition in the US in addition to early elementary education. Garner was appointed to the board of directors of this non-profit organisation in the year 2014. Garner advocates for early developmental stages of children. Being a part of the Early Steps to School Success (EASS) Ambassador team for the EASS program Garner has visited families on a regular basis to provide them with strategies to inspire their kids to achieve.
