Her interest in theatre during the summers spent with her father, who was famous. She studied acting in Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. She began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree after which she made her TV debut in the next year. In the years since, she's performed in many films and stage and television productions. She received many accolades over the course of her career such as several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
